2nd 2-a-day!!

My 2nd 2-a-day workout was a success! Honestly, I never thought 2-a-days would be a part of my routine and part of me thought people who did them were a little crazy. BUT, surprisingly, I am really enjoying it. Having workout partners is a huge motivation!

Workout #1

9 mile hilly run
2 mile warmup: 8:35 and 8:15 min miles
miles 3-8 7:56 average
mile 9 7:13

Workout # 2

8 exercise circuit. Complete all 8 exercises for one set.  Complete 5 sets as fast as you can
1. Traveling Med Ball Pushups (1 pushup off the ball, 1 pushup with 1 hand on ball, 1 pushup with  hands on the ball, 1 pushup with 1 hand on the ball, 1 pushup off the ball – and back)
2. 200 yard sprint (down and back football field)
3. 15 box jumps (step down)
4. 40 Mountain Climbers (20/leg)
5. Jump Rope 60 revolutions
6. Bear Crawl 30 yards (15 out forward & 15 back backwards)
7. Walking lunge 30 yards (hands behind head 15 yards out forward & 15 yards back backwards – body weight)
8. Sled Push 50 yards (25 out forward, turn sled around, and 25 back forwards – one 45 lb plate)
Completed in 41:28

Finisher: Bar hold & Hang (start with chin over bar & hold onto bar until you let go) 1:32
