Almost Guilt Free Peanut Butter Cookies!

PB and Chocolate Cookies

This recipe uses pure maple syrup as the sweetener and doesn't have any added sugar.



Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 cup all natural peanut, cashew, or nut butter of your choice
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate cut into small pieces or shavings
Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375F
      2. Grease 2 cookie sheets
      3. Whisk all dry ingredients in a medium bowl
      4. Mix all wet ingredients with an electric mixer in a large bowl
      5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix
      6. Form into 1" balls and place on cookie sheet; flatten with a fork
      7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
